š”ļø USCCA Membership & Self-Defense Coverage
Educational overview for USAVFT students.
ā My Student PortalUnderstanding the Benefit
USCCA membership combines firearms/self-defense education and training resources with self-defense liability insurance benefits. USCCA states that insurance has been purchased by USCCA and members are additional insureds; actual coverage is subject to the policy's terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions.
Potential Advantages
⢠Education and training resources
⢠24/7 Critical Response Team access
⢠Self-defense liability insurance benefits as part of membership
⢠A structured way to prepare for legal and financial consequences that can follow a covered self-defense incident
Considerations / Limitations
⢠Membership has an ongoing cost
⢠Insurance is not a guarantee that every incident or expense is covered
⢠Terms, conditions, exclusions and eligibility matter
⢠Students should review current membership and policy documents before deciding whether membership fits their needs
Why consider it? A lawful self-defense incident can still create legal, financial and practical challenges. Some responsibly armed people choose this type of membership as one part of their preparedness plan. It is optional and is not required by USAVFT or by completion of your CCL training.
